Boat Trailer Storage - The Town of Putnam set aside an area off Gull Bay Road at the entrance to the old dump for boat trailer storage during the summer season. A new sign has been posted to remind residents/visitors that this area is ONLY for storage of trailers during the summer season and IS NOT intended for boat storage through the winter months. Please contact our Town Supervisor, John LaPointe if you have any questions. Garbage Pickup - The Town of Putnam picks up garbage on a weekly basis year round and requires yellow garbage stickers on all bags. For those who drop their garbage at the beach, there is a designated place away from the stream with sticker requirements and drop-off times (7-9 am Monday mornings). Also, during the summer months the Town receives garbage on Sundays from 3 pm - 7 pm (or Mondays if a holiday) at the Town Garage (off Route 22 across from the sand pit).
